Taproom Team Member (Part-Time)

Red Leaf GF Brewing is the first dedicated gluten-free brewery in Vermont and New England. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our taproom team part-time. As a Taproom Team Member, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests. You will primarily be responsible for serving our selection of craft beers, engaging with customers, and ensuring that our taproom operates smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about beer and enjoy working in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit

  • Educate customers about our craft beer offerings, including flavor profiles, ingredients, and dedicated gluten-free brewing process

  • Take drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service

  • Operate cash register and process transactions accurately

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the taproom, including bar area, tables, and seating areas

  • Monitor customer behavior and alcohol consumption, ensuring responsible service at all times

  • Perform opening and closing tasks, including setup and breakdown of the bar area, cleaning, and restocking

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experiences

  • Attend training sessions and workshops to learn about gluten-free protocols and safety procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or food/beverage service preferred

  • Demonstrated trustworthiness and reliability in prior experience/positions

  • Awareness/familiarity with food allergies and a gluten-free diet and lifestyle are preferred but not required 

  • Passion for craft beer and willingness to learn about gluten-free brewing 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Saturdays are a must!

  • Must have or obtain and maintain Dept of Liquor Control server certification
